What is a sound bath?

Sound bath gong therapy session - therapist playing gong

A sound bath is a guided meditative session where you comfortably lie down with your eyes closed, while waves of sound and vibration from the gong "bathe" you and guide you into a deep state of relaxation.

You don't do anything, just listen and feel.

You listen to the gong and additional instruments that create a "soundscape" that calms your body and mind.

Why a sound bath?

Benefits and effects

Reduce stress and tension

If you've been under stress for a long time due to work, rush, loss, suppressed emotions, if you're overwhelmed, feel like you "can't take it anymore", don't have time for "self-work", or have experienced deep trauma - the sound of the gong calms your nervous system and helps your body and mind naturally calm down.

Regulate sleep

Deep relaxation after the session makes it easier for many to fall asleep and deepens sleep, especially for those who have trouble sleeping.

Help with panic attacks and anxiety

Rhythmic sound vibrations can ease heart palpitations, lower blood pressure, relax muscles... especially for those prone to panic attacks and intense dark thoughts.

Encourage stopping when "running in the head"

The sound of the gong naturally slows down brain waves, helps slow down and stop those who "don't know how to meditate" or don't have the capacity to surrender to doing nothing and thinking about nothing.

Encourage held emotions and feeling your own body

During the session, emotions may arise (sadness, joy, relief); sound helps you feel them, especially if you're hiding them, and gently release them. Many also describe greater presence and comfort in their own body.

Improve romantic, family, business, and other relationships

Calming the nervous system opens space for better communication, openness, patience, and empathy. The sound and vibration of the gong help the body release stress and the heart to feel connection again. We enter new relationships more easily, fix them more easily, but also reject old relationships if they harm us.

Important: Sound bath is a complementary method – it does not replace medical treatment, but can be a supplement to it, especially as an additional tool for calming and self-work.

For whom is the sound bath?

This type of sound therapy can be beneficial for you if:

  • You feel stress, tension, are overwhelmed, think you'll experience "burnout" or chronic fatigue
  • Your heart often races, you have shortness of breath, you have high blood pressure
  • You've had a panic attack
  • You're worried about your health
  • You can't sleep at night, have trouble falling asleep, wake up at night
  • You're worried and constantly imagine worst-case scenarios, "what if"
  • You're not in physical condition, emotionally exhausted, angry, tired, "given up"
  • You don't have time for "self-work", in physical and emotional form
  • You're going through an emotionally demanding period (marriage separation, child leaving, job loss, loss of a loved one, experienced trauma)
  • You're looking for a gentle but deep way of working on yourself where nothing is asked or expected of you
  • Sound returns lightness and freshness to the body — skin becomes softer, shinier, and younger. ✨

No prior experience with any type of relaxation and unwinding is necessary.

Who should be cautious?

Not recommended
  • • People with implanted pacemakers
  • • In the 1st and 3rd trimester of pregnancy
  • • In severe mental conditions without doctor's consent
With prior consultation
  • • Epilepsy, tendency to seizures
  • • Metal implants (screws, plates)
  • • Severe sensitivity to sound or tinnitus
  • • Serious heart problems

Contact us before booking if you have any health concerns or doubts – together we'll assess whether a sound bath is suitable for you and adjust the experience if needed.

What might you feel during and after a sound bath?

Reactions are very individual – each bath can be different

Group sound bath session - deep relaxation therapy

Feeling of deep calm or drowsiness

Waves of emotions (sadness, joy, relief), sometimes tears

Tingling in the body, feeling of heaviness or lightness

Feeling that you can take a deep breath and breathe

All of these are normal process reactions. We recommend being gentle with yourself after the bath – drink water, rest, and, if possible, take some time in silence.
